My work is an intuitive process of capturing fleeting moments, expressed either abstractly or realistically, inspired by things that I see and experience in my daily life. I strive to keep alive my original instinctual intent to create art that emits soothing feelings.

About
Mako Lanselle is an international artist and member of the Los Angeles Printmaking Society (LAPS).
Born in Japan and based in Southern California, she has studied and practiced diverse styles and media of art including:
- stained glass in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Santa Barbara, California;
- Japanese screen painting (under Master Shoko Ota) in Tokyo, Japan;
- classic bookbinding at the Centre des Arts du Livre, Union des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, France; and
- painting with watercolors, acrylic, and oil in Los Angeles, CA.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design at the California State University, Northridge, where she began her foray into printmaking. She continues to explore printmaking and painting through her art and experimentation.
